The George Yule Prize

Calling all postgrad presenters at the ANZAMEMS Conference (#anza25):

A reminder that applications for the George Yule Prize are open and close on 24 November!

The George Yule Prize is awarded to the best paper presented by a postgraduate student at the upcoming ANZAMEMS conference. The recipient will receive $500 AUD and the opportunity to develop their conference presentation into a full-length article for publication in Parergon, with editorial mentorship provided. The article is expected to be completed within 6 to 9 months following the conference.

Please note: The application process for the George Yule Prize has been updated for 2025.

Postgraduate students who wish to be considered must register their entry by emailing info@anzamems.org no later than 24 November 2025 (nine days before the conference). Applicants must include:

  1. Proof of postgraduate status
  2. draft version of the paper they plan to present at the conference (Referencing is not required; this is not a final submission.)
